This antenna is fitted with an adjustable HI gain amplifier . It can be turned up to 36 decibels if you are not getting a good strong signal . It is as good as but not better than a standard antenna on your roof. If you are not getting a strong signal already from your main TV aerial this is not the answer, you will need a more powerful external TV antenna possibly with a mast top amp fitted.
These antennas are good for conecting to extras TV, in the bedroom, Kitchen Etc, providing you have a reasonable signal already.
The aeriel is wideband and is suitable for new Digital ( freeview) boxes as well as standard Analogue TV.
It can also be used as an amplifier for a standard roof top aerial as there is a standard RF input socket.
