** Remote sockets **
These sockets can not only make life easier, they also help you to become more energy efficient enbling you to completly switch off your appliances by simply pressing a single switch. Ideal for hard to reach sockets behind cabinets or in the bedroom so you can switch off the TV from the mains without getting out of bed. Remember if you leave an item plugged in, it will generally still be using power on stand by mode.
They have a range of up to 30 metres and a capacity of up to 1000 watts. So basically can be used on TV's, DVD,s,Computers, Radios, games consoles, table lights, and other small appliances. But not on high wattage items such as your kettle , tumble dryer or electic heater or fires.
You can set them all on the same channel so that a single button switches all the items on or off or have them on seperate channels to switch individual items on or off. Very handy in the Living room, Office or Bedroom, not really suitable for the kitchen.
