These lights are NOT solar powered. Solar lights are a great idea but they are not very bright. These lights are fitted with HALOGEN bulbs, and are wired though a low voltage transformer.
The bulb is on the same level in the light as a 155 mm wide glas disc which is 8mm thick,. The lights shines sideways through the edge of the glass plate. The body of the lights are black powder coated steel,The overall height including the metal stake is 40 cm.
These are not cheap plastic things, they are good quality Steel and toughened glass.
The lights have 2.5 metres of cable between them, the first on has 2.5 metres of cable leading to a low voltage transformer that CAN be left outside as long as it is positioned somewhere sheltered. There is then a further 2 metres of cable to the 3 pin plug.
We sell outdoor socket with timer switches on at £9.99, These are ideal for pluging these lights into.
Instructions are in well written English and tell you how to change the bulbs and extend / shorten the cables if you need to.
One word of warning, remember these are GLASS, so position them where they will not be knocked over by children or pets as we can not replace accidentally broken lights.
