** 1.5v - 12v DC - DC power adaptor **
These power adaptors are made to run small items from your car cigarette lighter socket. Basically if you have an item that uses aa (pencil batteies) and have a small socket on it marked dc with a voltage of between 1.5v and 12 v then this adaptor should power it as there are SIX different plugs provided. The voltages are selectable and are 1.5, 3, 4.5, 6, 7.5, 9v, 12v.
Not really suitable as a mobile phone charger or for digital cameras as the currents are normally higher than 800ma and the power plugs are often not standard. Also not suitable for larger items such as Notebooks as they use more than 12 volts and are rated higher than the 800 ma which this adaptor is. It will power small items up to 800 ma (just under 1 amp) that probaly run off aa batteries.
